No, sorry, I still don't have any intention of starting blogging.
I'm just testing the integration with my instant messenger, centericq.

But, what the heck.
Life update.
Work, going well I think, change is as good as a rest now that I've finished a grueling year building a java web app for a tangled mess of government bureaucracy.

Kendo. Helping lead a class at UMd, also fun. Hope to test for sandan - may or may not be feasible. We'll see.

S.O. - smart n sexy.

Finances seem to be getting under control, saving for house continues. Optimistic that within a couple of months we can start shopping.
At the moment, kind of torn. So many factors. Rates are starting to climb while housing remains inflated. As a buyer, not so good a market. Is there a bubble and will it burst any day now?

Well, mostly this is a shameless shill for my S.O.'s poetry forum/critique/slam vote website. Activity has slowed and she's looking for an infusion of fresh blood.

But hey, since I'm here on the soapbox.

Work... I've ranted about depressing week of fixing badly written code to anyone in earshot.

Looking for a job, have had some phone screens and interviews, we'll see what pans out.
Got into the Ebola vaccine study at NIH as study participant #10. I've always hated getting poked with needles, so the frequent blood draws are rough.
Puzzle Pirates! Just using my 10 free logons right now as I'm too poor to afford the $9.95 a mo ($6/mo if I went with buying larger blocks of time), but much fun, highly recommended for the puzzle addict.

1..2..3.. - is this thing on?
No, I doubt I'll ever blog much. I don't think I'll have much to say.
This is just me testing my chat client's LiveJournal interface. I'm kind of curious how konst is mapping the hierarchical nature of LJ against the sequential nature of chat.
I know this client allows me to post, and notifies me of friend's posts.
My reply to notification of a friend post would be a "conversation"
Then, I suppose, I could be notified of either a response by the friend to my comment, or a fresh journal entry.

Well, if he doesn't have that in there, I might just add it :)
